Start with project-focused accounts
Choose construction and contracting during company setup for a relevant starter chart. Have your accountant review the accounts and accounting policies before posting.
Track work and project costs
Organise jobs using projects, billable work, time entries and project reporting. Use reporting tags for cost categories or departments and business units for physical locations.
Record the settlement correctly
Use customer invoices, receipts, supplier bills, payments and advances to preserve the receivable and payable history. Contract-specific retention, mobilisation advances and subcontractor tax treatment should be reviewed against each agreement and local rules.
Keep inventory optional
A contractor may purchase and consume materials without running a general warehouse workflow. Enable inventory only where quantities and valuation are actively managed.
